Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the most common questions you may have about our memorial tree program. If you have a question that is not on this list, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting season takes place during the spring and summer. Plantings are organized before this period of time and the regions are planned according to how many trees are ordered to be planted. Because of this, if you order a memorial tree during the spring or summer, it may not get planted until the following planting season.
Our trees are planted wherever reforestation is needed most at that time. We leave it up to our forestry experts and planting partners to decide where the needs are and fulfill them during the spring-summer planting season accordingly. Because of this, we are unable to pinpoint the exact location of where your tree will be planted until the end of the season.
Our forestry partners work with their networks of planting partners throughout North America. These planting partners are typically regional conservation societies who are based closest to region of the funeral home or the recipient's home area.
Every year our forestry partners issue an official report to us which outlines details of all the specific plantings including the species, amount, and area of each tree.
The type of tree that is planted will vary by planting region. Our planting partners decide what appropriately grows in the region, and what is best for the environment and maintenance of the area.
